Amerks host elimination game on Friday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Americans’ final regular season game in 2022 is also a win-or-go-home scenario.

The Americans, who don’t control their own destiny, must start with a win against Utica on Friday night to pave a path to reach the Calder Cup Playoffs. Puck drop is 7:05 p.m. inside Blue Cross Arena.

However, if the Toronto Marlies come away with at least one point, Rochester is eliminated from playoff contention. The Marlies will play at Belleville on Saturday at 3 p.m.
