Amerks skate to shootout win over Lehigh Valley

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — JJ Peterka sent in the winning goal in the third round of the shootout.

It was a 5-4 win for Rochester (8-5-0-0) over the visiting Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Brett Murray continued his hot streak, scoring twice and making it four out of the last five games that he’s found the net.

Rookie Linus Weissbach also scored, extending his point streak to three straight games.

Peterka also had one in regulation before his game-winning goal.

Goalie Michael Houser made his first start of the season and had 28 saves in the victory.

The Amerks are back in Utica on Saturday at the Adirondack Bank Center.
