Average gas price in Rochester: $4.42

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Gas prices in Rochester are averaging $4.42 a gallon, according to both AAA and GasBuddy’s survey of 319 area stations released on Monday.

That’s more than $1.58 higher than the previous year and $0.75 higher than the previous month.

The cheapest station on Sunday was $4.15 per gallon, while the most expensive was $4.79, as reported to GasBuddy. Gas prices in Buffalo were more expensive, while prices in Syracuse were slightly cheaper.

The national average of gas is $1.47 higher than a year ago. News10NBC previously reported that the ban on Russian oil in the U.S. is contributing to higher prices.
