BGC of Rochester warns about donation scam

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is warning the public about a donation scam.
They say a man walking around by the name of John Davis is asking for donations in the form of toys and money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester.
The club emphasized it does not seek donations door-to-door.
The club is asking that if you are approached by somebody asking for donations, call 911 to report.
