Bills Players Pledge To Help Community Following Buffalo Shooting

BUFFALO, NY (WHEC) – Following the shooting at a Tops store in Buffalo on Saturday that killed 10 people and wounded three more, the Buffalo Bills are committed to helping.

Before Micah Hyde’s annual charity softball game on Sunday, the Safety tweeted that a portion of the proceeds from the game would be going towards families directly affected.

Thank you Bills Mafia and the entire Buffalo community for coming together today as we begin the long process of support and healing for our community. We are sending prayers to the families impacted, and we will be donating a portion of today’s game proceeds to the families.

But it won’t stop there. QB Josh Allen echoed the same sentiments.

"It’s something that you never think it’s going to happen to here in your community," Allen said. "And when it does, it hits home. I was sick to my stomach all day yesterday. I was flying back from my sister’s graduation. It was just it’s gut wrenching. It really is. Again, we’re talking about what we want to do. There’s no doubt that we’re going to do something."
