Bills sign veteran playmaker Tavon Austin
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Buffalo Bills continue to pick up weapons for Josh Allen and the latest is nine-year vet Tavon Austin. Austin announced the signing on his Instagram page, @tayawesome11.
The wide receiver played last year with Jacksonville, but had his best NFL years with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams from 2013-17.
Long before his pro football days, Austin’s high-school highlight tape went viral, eclipsing over three million views to this date.
The speedy Austin has also been used as a punt returner throughout his NFL career. Last season, Buffalo experimented with a few punt returners including Isaiah McKenzie and Marquez Stevenson. Both of them return, so now Austin joins what’s set to be a competitive group vying for that role.
