Board will hold meeting about safety at RCSD schools

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Rochester Board of Education will hold meetings on Thursday night to discuss safety at city schools.
Board members plan to engage with students, parents, community members, teachers, principals, and school security professionals. The meeting comes nine days after the Texas elementary school shooting that left 19 children and two teachers dead.
The meeting will start at 5:00 p.m. You can watch it live on the district’s Facebook and YouTube pages. The board said that there may be an Executive Session, which will be closed to the public, after the meeting on saftey.
On June 16th at 6:00 p.m. there will be another community meeting on school safety at Newborn Fellowship Church.
