Boating advisory lifted for Keuka Lake

PENN YAN, N.Y. (WHEC) — Yes, you can go back to boating.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office Friday lifted its previous boating advisory for Keuka Lake.

The advisory was initially put in place back on Aug. 19 due to heavy rain, and concerns over debris like tree limbs, dock parts, and other hazards.

While the advisory was lifted, law enforcement is still reminding boaters to boat safely.
