Buffalo Bills release Cole Beasley

Beasley and Gabriel Davis must spend at least five days away from the team facility after having close contact with a trainer who tested positive for COVID-19, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021. That means Beasley and Davis will miss the Bills’ final preseason game on Saturday, when Buffalo hosts the Green Bay Packers.[(AP Photo/Rick Osentoski, File)]
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC) – The Buffalo Bills have released receiver Cole Beasley.
The move wasn’t entirely unexpected, after reports surfaced last week that Beasley was seeking a possible trade.

Beasley has been a key part of the Bills offense the past three years after coming over from the Cowboys. Beasley’s strong stance against the NFL’s COVID policies was met with mixed reactions from Bills fans.
The Bills announced this week the re-signing of WR Isaiah McKenzie along with a host of other big name acquisitions.
