Car crash in Riga causes serious injuries to sole occupant

RIGA, N.Y. (WHEC) – A serious motor vehicle accident occurred Wednesday morning in the town of Riga.
At approximately 11:39 a.m., the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 795 block of Palmer Rd., Riga for the report of a one-vehicle MVA with serious injuries.
Upon investigating, deputies determined the commercial-type vehicle left the roadway and rolled over, causing serious injuries to the sole occupant.
Palmer Rd. in the vicinity of Griffin and Jenkins Roads was closed for a short period.
The investigation is ongoing.
