CDC holding virtual ‘Disease Detectives’ event next week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s annual gathering of "Disease Detectives" is free, open to the public, and it’s coming up next week.

It’s virtual so people across the country can join in.

The Epidemic Intelligence Service Conference is Monday through Thursday.

You’ll get a glimpse into COVID outbreak investigations as well as topics like blood tests, homicides, and relationships.

New York’s Health Commissioner, Dr. Mary Basset will deliver a lecture on Wednesday.
