Chiefs fans raise $306k for Oishei in $13 increments
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC) — A number that will haunt the Bills Mafia forever has sparked a spirit of giving from fans of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Oishei Children’s Hospital reports it has been receiving donations in increments of $13 from Kansas City Chiefs fans. As we all know too well, during Sunday’s AFC Divisional playoff game, the Chiefs drove down the field and kicked a field goal in just 13 seconds, sending the game into overtime where the Chiefs eventually won, knocking the Bills out of the playoffs for the second straight year in one of the most heartbreaking losses in Bills history.

As of Thursday morning, the donations had climbed to $306,000 from thousands of donors

Later Thursday, sports betting company FanDuel announced that it would be chipping in $52,000 to Oishei Children’s Hospital, representing $13,000 for every touchdown Josh Allen tossed to Gabriel Davis in the AFC Divisional playoff game.
Bills fans have been known for their generosity, donating to Oishei when Josh Allen’s grandmother passed away in 2020. Eventually, the hospital named a wing in her honor.
The Bills Mafia has supported multiple causes throughout the years, often to charities supported by players of opposing teams.
