The Jewish festival of lights begins Sunday night when the sun goes down. To mark the beginning of the eight-day Chanukah holiday, some local organizations are teaming up to hold a car parade.

It will start at the Hillel Community Day School on Fairfield Drive in Brighton at 3:30 p.m., and it will end with a menorah lighting at Jewish Senior Life community center on Winton Road in Brighton. The community center is encouraging anyone who’s celebrating to join them in lighting 18 separate menorahs throughout the campus.
