Consumer Alert: IRS College scam

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— We have a Consumer Alert about a new scam that is targeting colleges, and people with certain email accounts that end in ".edu."

The scam includes a message that looks like it comes from the Internal Revenue Service. The subject line says it’s about your tax refund payment. It then asks you to submit a form to claim your money. Don’t do it.
