ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County cut the ribbon on its newest DMV branch in Henrietta on Friday morning.

The county closed its DMV branch on East Henrietta Road about two weeks ago.

The new one is a mile away in a more modern space in the frontier commons plaza, right next to tops on Jefferson Road. Monroe County officials cut the ribbon and opened the doors of the new branch at 9:30 a.m.

“We’re that public resource, we are that public service,” said Jamie Romeo, the Monroe County Clerk. "We have an incredible team of people here that are stepping up and continuing to serve. I would expect you all to see other new developments and great things coming out of the DMV in the next few years as well.”

The new location has its customers in mind. They installed new seating areas and cutting-edge technology to make the DMV a faster and more comfortable experience.
