ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Guests 12 and older will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend events at Blue Cross Arena.

The announcement was made Wednesday morning by Pegula Sports and Entertainment, after a similiar policy was announced last week for events at Highmark Stadium and Key Bank Center in Buffalo.

Starting on Sep. 29 with an All-Elite Wrestling event, you’ll need to show proof of at least one dose. After Nov. 2, you’ll need to be fully vaccinated. Masks will no longer be required for vaccinated guests, but are encouraged. Those under 12 will be required to wear masks at all times.

You’ll need to show your vaccination card or New York’s Excelsior Pass to get into the building. Negative COVID tests will not be accepted as an alternative.

According to the team, season ticket holders will receive specific guidelines to request a refund. Refunds will not be given for single-game purchases. Single-game buyers that are unable to meet the mandates will have the chance to transfer, resell or donate their tickets.

The deadline to let the team know of your decision, and a refund request is Sept. 29 at 5:00 p.m.

The Amerks’ first regular-season game is Oct. 22.
