ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — An executive order put in place during the pandemic was signed into law Wednesday.

The new law allows restaurants to offer outdoor dining on sidewalks and closed streets for another year.

The order allowing the same thing was signed in June 2020 and just expired at the end of June 2021.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said this law gives restaurants another year to recover from the pandemic.
