Cynthia Elliot rejoins Rochester City School Board: Camille Simmons, James Patterson join

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Four candidates were vying for the three spots on the Rochester City School Board Tuesday night.

Cynthia Elliot was running to stay on the board, and it appears she will.

Camille Simmons and James Patterson appear to be joining her. All three are Democrats.

The fourth candidate, Joshua Bauroth of the Working Families Party, is thousands of votes behind.

They will be stepping in at a time where the Rochester City School District is experiencing a spike in violence in schools as well as a staffing shortage for many positions, including bus drivers.
