Danielle Ponder of Rochester delivered powerful performance on Seth Meyers

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester musician Danielle Ponder delivered a powerhouse vocal performance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

She performed overnight on Wednesday on NBC. You can watch her performance on the website for NBC.

Danielle Ponder has made a name for herself nationally for her musical talent and advocacy.

In February, News10NBC celebrated Black History Month by honoring the people and places that have paved the way for many in the Rochester area and recognized Ponder for her effect on the community.

Ponder and her band have sold out shows in her hometown and opened up for artists like George Clinton and the Roots.

Ponder joined the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office as an attorney in 2013 before leaving to pursue music full-time. She rejoined in 2020 in a new position as the diversity and inclusion officer.
