Dawson Knox: O.J. Howard will "Make a splash this year for us."

ORCHARD PARK, NY (WHEC) – You wouldn’t think much would impress Dawson Knox after he put up career numbers in a Buffalo Bills uniform in 2021.

Then he met O.J. Howard.

"He makes you feel small. That dude’s massive," said Knox.

Howard, the newest member of the Bills tight end group, comes to Buffalo after spending five seasons with Tampa Bay.

Listed at 6’6" and 251 pounds, Howard also brings in a "great catch radius and runs good routes" according to Knox.

Howard is sure to be involved in a Bills offense that moves on from Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley. Buffalo will likely feature Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis as wide receivers one and two with Dawson Knox practically serving as a receiver in his own right. The Bills starting tight end hauled in 49 receptions for 587 yards and 9 touchdowns last season.

Howard and fellow newcomer Jamison Crowder will be called upon to give Josh Allen some more weapons down the depth chart. However, according to Knox, Howard shouldn’t be looked at as an afterthought.

"He’s just a very well-rounded tight end. I think he’ll make a splash this year for us," said Knox.

Bills fans can get a look at how Howard fits in with his new team as training camp starts in Rochester on July 24.
