DEC sampling rainbow trout next month

NAPLES, N.Y. (WHEC) — The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced it will sample the rainbow trout run at Naples Creek on March 24.
DEC crews will be set up at the Route 245 bridge near Naples.
The public is encouraged to come out.
The DEC will be recording details about the trout population ahead of Finger Lakes tributaries opening for fishing on April 1.
Results should be published before then.
