Deputies: 11-year-old girl Mercy Flighted after being hit by car in Canandaigua

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC)— Ontario County deputies say an 11-year-old girl is in the hospital after she was hit by a car along a state road in Canandaigua Thursday.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says the girl was crossing the road on State Route 21 just north of Nott Road when a man hit her with his car. The girl was Mercy Flighted to Strong Memorial Hospital for what deputies say were head and leg injuries.
OCSO says this is still an active investigation and did not say if any charges are pending.
