PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WHEC) — Genesee County deputies identified the two people killed in a crash collision between a car and a tractor-trailer Wednesday.

It happened at the intersection of Route 77 and Indian Falls Road in Pembroke. Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 2 p.m. Deputies say, 69-year-old Arnold Herdendorf and 70-year-old Chris Rowell, both of Lockport, were killed in the crash.

Police say Herdendorf was driving down Indian Falls Road and failed to stop at the intersection.

"The tractor-trailer was northbound and ended up colliding with the passenger vehicle," said Chief Deputy of Road Patrol Gene Frieday. "The two victims, the fatalities, were from the passenger vehicles."

The two men were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, and one passenger, were not injured.
