Deputies: 2 people injured, 1 seriously, after crash in Hamlin
HAMLIN, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two people were injured, one seriously after a two-vehicle crash in Hamlin.
The crash happened at the intersection of Roosevelt Highway and Drake Road Sunday morning.
Hamlin Morton Walker Fire District says a red pickup truck was heading east on Rt.18 when it was struck by a blue sedan that was heading south on Drake Road. The pickup truck rolled over and ended up back on its wheels.
The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. The driver of the sedan, however, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital via Hamlin Ambulance.
Sections of Roosevelt Highway and Drake Road were shut down after the accident. They reopened to traffic in the 2 p.m. hour, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
