Deputies: Churchville man killed in crash on Chili Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Deputies say a Churchville man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Monday morning in Chili.

The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Westside Drive near Chili Avenue.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says the crash started as the man, identified as 47-year-old Jason Nesbitt, was following behind a car as both were heading west on Westside when he attempted to pass the driver on the left. Deputies say Nesbitt hit the car as it attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of an apartment.

Nesbitt was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the car was not hurt, and remained at the scene. Deputies are still looking into the crash.
