Deputies: Macedon man arrested for sexual assault of 12-year-old in Florida

MACEDON, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Macedon man was arrested after the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in Escambia County, Florida.
Peter J. Smith, 64, was arrested on Monday just after 7:30 p.m. by Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies and U.S. Marshals Taskforce members.
Smith is in the Wayne County Jail awaiting extradition back to Florida to answer the charges.
