NEW YORK (WHEC) — It wasn’t all smooth sailing for the balloon based on the popular kid’s book.
The ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ balloon got tangled n tree branches at the start of the parade route. Crews had to lower the 56-foot high, 280-pound balloon.
They were able to free it so it could re-join the parade on time and without any other issues.
