Distracted driving enforcement campaign starts Monday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A statewide distracted driving enforcement campaign starts for Distracted Driving Awareness Month on Monday.

Law enforcement will be stepping up patrols through April 11.

During last year’s campaign, law enforcement ticketed more than 1,600 people statewide.

Penalties range from $50 to $450, all the way up to license suspension.
