ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — There’s a new text message phishing scheme going around to try and steal your personal information, the New York State Division of Consumer Protection and the Department of Motor Vehicles warn.
The departments say the fake texts reference the Secretary of State New York Drivers License Facility, and it says you are required to update data for a current New York driver’s license.
If you get that text— delete it.
