ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Tonight fireworks returned to the city of Rochester. Downtown was packed with people watching. News10NBC’s Stephanie Duprey was out around Monroe County all afternoon at different Fourth of July festivals and takes us through what we’re seeing in the city.

It was a beautiful show, casting red, white, and blue across the Flower city. Some of the best views are off the Broad Street, and Court Street bridges.

There was a massive crowd out tonight celebrating the holiday. There were celebrations all across Rochester Monday, some festivals, 5ks, and parades.

People out on the town say they love watching the rainbow of colors light up the sky and hearing the boom and crackle as they burst in the air.

"It’s a fun experience, like you said you get to see everyone out and stuff it’s a different vibe than we’ve had in the last few years it’s really nice,” Serenity McBride told us.

"Fireworks are great and this is her first time out here seeing them, Taylor McNeil told us hugging her 8-year-old daughter, Isabell.

Stephanie Duprey: Woohoo! Tell me about it, are you excited?”

“Ya I’m excited, this is my first time,” Isabell Romero said with a smile from ear to ear.
