East Rochester schools placed on lockout over ‘domestic’ issue

EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – East Rochester schools went into lockout for a time Monday afternoon after concerns were raised about a potentially escalting domestic situation.

East Rochester Police say the school received a report of an adult coming to the campus with a weapon. The district alerted police who investigated and determined no weapon was found on the parent in question. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and NYS Police also responded.

Child Protective Services along with the FIT team, interviewed the parent, and the parent’s children were sent home with another family member.
