PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — Embrace Your Sisters is holding its annual Positively Pink in Pittsford Walk on Sunday.
"Embrace Your Sisters" is a group that provides short-term emergency support for people with breast cancer in Allegany, Cayuga, Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, and Yates counties.
This year the walk will be virtual due to COVID-19 concerns, just like their fashion show earlier this year.
Organizers are trying to get the word out.
"Unfortunately, it is just is more difficult to raise some money. So, with our fashion show, we were down about 75% in what we normally raise in a face-to-face event. We are finding it’s a bit of a challenge to get groups on board with doing the walk virtually. So, we’re certainly looking to get the word out on any social media," Krista Jackson, Second VP for Embrace Your Sisters said.
The walk starts Sunday, Sept. 26, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 3.
