Excelsior Pass now compatible with Puerto Rico’s VACU ID Pass

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York’s "Excelsior Pass" digital vaccine passport scanner app is now compatible with "Puerto Rico’s VACU ID Pass", and Puerto Rico’s CESCO digital verifier app is now compatible with the Excelsior Pass Plus app.

Gov. Kathy Hochul made the announcement Monday.

Hohcul’s office said as of Monday, the app is compatible with digital vaccine passport apps from Canada, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Virginia, Washington, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Utah as well.

New York was the first state in the nation to launch such a system, according to Hochul’s office.
