False Alarm: No evidence of an active shooter on Scottsville Rd

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said that there is no evidence of an active shooter. They received a report of a possible active shooter at the 1200 – 1300 block of Scottsville Road earlier today.
MCSO is still searching multiple buildings and occupants are being evacuated. RPD said no one is injured.
There was a heavy police presence on Scottsville Road and multiple departments responded. Many of the police cars have left. Departments that investigated the report for an active shooter included MCSP, FBI, New York State Police, and RPD. Police also conducted a K9 sweep.
A worker on a construction site near Scottsville Road said he was working when a SWAT team and 50 to 60 police cars came.

Airport official tells News10NBC that they are not impacted by this event on Scottsville Road but they are monitoring the situation. There were ambulances but they no flashing lights on.
