Fatal motorcycle crash in Byron, one dead

BYRON, N.Y. (WHEC) – Officials say that a man has died after a motorcycle crash in Byron Saturday evening.

At 3:41p.m. Genesee County dispatchers received a call of a motorcycle off the road in the area of 6191 N. Byron Road.

Police say that a man in his 60s was riding his motorcycle traveling eastbound on North Byron Road when he left the roadway and went through a ditch, struck a wooden fence, and finally came to a rest on its side. The Hilton man was pronounced dead on the scene.

There were three other riders with him, however, they were not in the area when he left the roadway and crashed.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
