Fire in Pittsford causes substantial damage to house

PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — Firefighters responded to reports of a fire on Kimberly Road Sunday afternoon

According to authorities, the house was unoccupied during the time of the fire, however, there were two dogs and two cats inside the house.

Pittsford, Bright and Bushnell’s Basin Fire Departments responded and worked together. There was significant damage to the house and responders say Red Cross is in touch with the family.

The animals were located and evacuated safely.
