Firefighters rescue two people after car crashes into their Sweden home

SWEDEN, N.Y. (WHEC) — First responders rescued two people and their pets after a car crashed into their home in Sweden Tuesday night.

The car crashed into the front of a home on 1911 Colby Street near Salmon Creek road around 11 p.m.

Firefighters, along with Monroe County Deputies, were able to safely evacuate the two people and their animals inside the home, as it was at risk of collapse.

No one was injured inside the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The driver of the vehicle is identified as Justin Flynn, 23, of Brockport. Flynn was arrested for DWI and transported to Strong for minor injuries. He was issued an appearance ticket.
