ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – A cold front Tuesday evening brought some beneficial rain to spots across the Rochester area, but we’re heading for another dry stretch.

Wet weather clears the area, leaving us with a partly cloudy sky overnight. We’ll see a mix of clouds and sun on Wednesday, with more seasonably temperatures near 80. Outside of a passing afternoon or early evening shower, we should remain dry on Wednesday, and we’ll keep that going into the weekend. Sunshine returns for Friday and Saturday, with highs climbing back into the 80s. A wave of low pressure approaching later on Sunday will bring another chance for some rain late Sunday and into the day on Monday, perhaps a few storms. At this point, nothing screams severe weather, so we’ll remain green on the First Alert Threat Tracker.

The heat will also begin to build again by the 2nd half of the weekend, with upper 80s likely, so long as the rain holds off long enough.
