ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — We’re finishing July on a high note, with a big bubble of high-pressure overhead ensuring dry and comfortable weather this weekend.
Saturday will see highs near 80, and mid-80s on Sunday. Both days will feature plenty of sunshine, with some high clouds possible on Sunday. Dew points remain comfortable through the weekend. If you have anything planned outside this weekend, the weather won’t get in your way!
August is looking like we’re going to start it on a HOT note. Highs on Monday will flirt with 90 with an isolated storm threat late, but most of the day should be dry. A weak cold front dropping south on Tuesday will bring a few showers or storms to the area, and a brief break from the hottest air. But, that will be short-lived, as perhaps the hottest air of the season begins to build in toward the end of the week. Wednesday will come close to 90 again, with highs likely into the 90s on Thursday with dew points in the 70s. Some storms are also possible later Thursday into Friday with our next weak front, but there are some signs that this next front won’t do anything to wash away the heat.
