ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Shower chances will continue this weekend, but a washout is not expected and overall this weekend will be pleasant. An upper level low will spin to our north and continue to bring us the chance for a passing rain shower today and tomorrow.

Also, this upper level low will bring in cooler weather as it sits to our north. High temperatures today will not be too bad as they make their way into the mid and upper 40s, but the chilly air enters for Sunday. High temperatures on Sunday will be in the low 40s with some stuck in the upper 30s. It will also be a bit breezy tomorrow afternoon which means it will feel a bit cooler under mostly cloudy skies. Not only are we unsettled this weekend, but we will continue to be unsettled through the majority of this week.

A dissipating cold front will approach late Monday with a passing shower into early Tuesday. The good news is that the showers will move out early and by first pitch for the Red Wings home opener, things will be much drier. On the feels of this week cold front will be another strong area of low pressure over the Central US that will move through the Western Great Lakes towards the middle and end of next week. This area of low pressure will bring us scattered showers and widespread rain likely for Wednesday and Thursday before showers turn isolated on Friday.

This upper level low will also begin to bring in cooler air for Easter weekend. So enjoy the mild weather this work week before we once again turn cooler next weekend.
