ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Wednesday’s heavy rain and storms also came with impressive heat.

We tied the old record high for today’s date, at 93°. With that, dew points in the 70s made it feel closer to 100° at times. That moisture also produced locally heavy rain, but very little in the way of any flooding, which is great news! The ground was able to drink up most of the moisture.

We’re washing away the heat and humidity for the end of the week. Thursday and Friday will be dry with a good deal of sun and much more comfortable humidity levels. The weekend will be turning hot once again, with highs on Saturday near 90, and likely into the 90s on Sunday. Saturday will be our dry weekend day, with some showers and storms developing later in the day with the arrival of a cold front.
