ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Cloud cover early this morning will give way to plenty of sun by the afternoon. With our warm front advancing to our north yesterday, we will also see temperatures skyrocket to near 80 degrees!

Also for the first time this season, you may feel the dew point outside this afternoon. Dew points this afternoon will be in the mid and upper 50s. Not anything unmanageable, but it has been a long time since we have felt dew points that high it may feel a bit humid later today. The rise in dew points will also try and initiate a stray afternoon thunderstorm in the Finger Lakes.

Strong storms are not expected, and storm chances are marginal but a storm could pop as the lake breeze sets up today. We will remain mild through tonight with temperatures near 60 degrees, but a cold front will move in for Monday and bring us a good chance for rain late.

Most of Monday morning will be dry with a mix of sun and clouds, but clouds will increase for the afternoon and give way to scattered showers and thunderstorms. The best chance for rain will come Monday evening and into Monday night. Rain could be heavy at times during the morning commute, which may limit visibility at times.

Showers continue to increase through Monday night before exiting Tuesday morning. No flooding is expected, but rain totals will be between .5" and 1" with localized higher amounts possible. The cold front will also cool us down on the backside as temperatures drop into the mid and low 40s by Wednesday afternoon with a few rain and snow showers possible!
