ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — No complaints were heard about the weather today. The combination of a light breeze, comfortable temperatures, sunny skies, and lower humidity made all the right ingredients for a beautiful day.

High pressure anchored from the Ohio Valley into New England will continue to bring more sunshine but in addition, will pump in more heat and humidity into Western New York for Memorial Day.

Tonight look for mainly clear skies with the temperature falling into the upper 50s. Memorial Day will bring more sunshine, but as mentioned, expect more heat and humidity for the afternoon. The high temperature will be in the upper 80s.

Tuesday will probably be the hottest day so far this season with the mercury reaching near 90 degrees.

The first chance of rain will come on Wednesday with a few showers and maybe a couple of strong thunderstorms. The high temperature will be in the lower to middle 80s. A cold front will move across the area later Wednesday which will bring a significant drop in the temperature and humidity.

As a result, the cooler and more comfortable weather returns by Thursday and Friday.
