ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It is interesting to note that we are going to be looking at a record high temperature again. Sixty-four degrees is going to be the third record high temperature in a little over a month. On Thursday the old record is 62º and this goes all the way back to the year 1894.

So why is this not going to last very long? The number one reason is this cold front which is coming in from the west. We will get back to seasonably cold weather. So that cold front is going to cross the area and we know it is going to have an impact. Then take a look at the overall hemisphere, we are just going to get a gradual, but significant change in the overall weather pattern. This is what the jet stream will look like going into next week. Specifically, next Thursday and Friday and we are definitely going to get more consistency to the cold weather.

Remember, over the last two weeks the temperature has been up-and-down and all over the place, but once we get beyond tomorrow, as we look ahead over the next 10 days we get more consistency to the weather. It is not going to be unusually cold, but rather more consistent with the cold.

No, you know we are going to get some snow. But do we get any snow for Christmas? That is going to be the big question – at least for now.
