ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — As quickly as the sun made a return Wednesday, we’ll lose it again Thursday. Showers will move in early Thursday morning, with a period of rain possible. Showers will tend to taper by dinner-time, so it’ll be a good idea to pack the umbrella, as there’s a good chance you’ll be dodging raindrops at some point on Thursday.
Wind will also be noticeable, with some gusts 30-35 mph out of the southwest. We’ll dry things out nicely by Friday, with a mostly sunny sky making a return. Temperatures will be just about average on Friday, with highs in the mid-50s.
A warming weekend: A warm front lifting through on Saturday will bring more clouds and the slight chance of a passing shower, but it’ll all be worth it by Sunday! Sunday looks wonderful, with a mostly sunny sky and temperatures soaring into the mid to upper 70s, and a few spots flirting with 80.
We’ll keep the warmth around into Monday, but a cold front will be knocking on our door. This means more clouds on Monday, and some rain developing by late afternoon and evening. We’ll clear the wet weather out early Tuesday morning, but temperatures will drop back into the 50s for highs, followed by 40s Wednesday and Thursday, as a pocked of cold air moves in aloft, keeping us cool and a bit unsettled for the middle to end of next week.
