ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Thursday saw the return of clouds, a little wind and a few showers, but that is all going away for Friday. We’ll see a beautiful end to the workweek, with a clearing sky tonight leading to a mostly sunny Friday.

A warm front lifting through on Saturday will increase our clouds, and bring a brief passing shower or two, especially during Saturday afternoon, but most of the day should be dry. Saturday will likely top out near 60 degrees, despite a mostly cloudy sky.

Sunday will feel very much like summer across western New York. Temperatures will flirt 80 degrees away from Lake Ontario. That being said, an overall light wind will lead to the development of a lake breeze, which will keep temperatures locked in the 60s, maybe even 50s along the immediate lakeshore. Sunday is your day for anything outdoors, with dry weather and a good deal of sun.

A cold front lurking on Monday will bring thickening clouds and showers back to the area by the afternoon. Despite this, we’ll manage one more very mild day, with highs in the mid-70s. Showers will end Tuesday morning, and we’ll see a little afternoon sun. But, temperatures will drop back into the 50s. And we’ll go down from there. A pocket of colder air will take hold starting Wednesday, dropping our temperatures into the 40s for highs, with more clouds than sun, and a few passing (mostly rain) showers.
