ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — There will be mostly sunny skies on Wednesday with a southwesterly breeze that will bring in the heat.

Temperatures will likely reach or pass 90 degrees in the afternoon. There won’t be record-breaking warmth but it will be hot.

Thankfully, in the afternoon, the dew point is not bad so the humidity levels are manageable. That will change on Wednesday night into Thursday as the moisture increases and it turns very muggy.

The increased humidity will bring the chance for some showers and thunderstorms on Thursday and Friday. Our Threat Tracker will remain green at this time for the next several days but one thing to watch will be for a few locally heavy downpours.

No severe wind or hail is expected but local flash flooding could be a concern if any storms get going tomorrow or Friday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on that and a hot weekend ahead.
