ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Today had all the right ingredients with low humidity, comfortable temperatures, a light breeze, and plenty of sunshine.

Some would say near-perfect weather for Western New York. However, the high-pressure system that produced this weather will give way to a weak cold front tomorrow. This front does not have a lot of moisture to work with, so any showers should be very limited.

Tonight will bring clear, starlit skies. Once again it will be turning cool, but not as cool as last night. The low temperature will be in the middle 50s. Wednesday features mostly cloudy skies with just a few spotty showers and maybe some thunder. The sunshine should return later in the afternoon with the high temperature in the upper 70s. Winds will turn more to the southwest and bring some noticeably warmer weather for Thursday. Expect mostly sunny skies with a high temperature in the mid-80s.

The heat and humidity will continue to build across the area on Friday. This will likely be the hottest day of the week with the mercury rising to near 90 degrees. Then showers and thundershowers should arrive Friday evening into early Saturday. As a result, this will knock down the heat and humidity making for a more comfortable holiday weekend. The high temperature on Saturday will be near 81 degrees. Look for more sunshine for Sunday and the Fourth of July with both days running between 80 and 85 degrees.
