ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Temperatures once again today will make a run towards 80 degrees. Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies are ahead with isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
As you are out and about later today, keep an eye on the sky and have that umbrella handy as a pop-up shower or thundery downpour will be possible for some during the afternoon hours. Most of the day will be rain free.
Any storm that does develop may contain heavy rain and gusty winds. No widespread severe weather is expected so the Threat Tracker will remain green into tonight.
Steadier rain and thundery downpours develop later this evening after 8 p.m. and last through midnight as the cold front crosses the region. Much cooler weather will move back starting tomorrow.
Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on any storms that do develop and the latest tacking and timing of the cold front tonight.
