Former jail deputy in Erie County will serve three years in prostitution case

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — A former jail deputy for the Erie County Sheriff’s Office will serve three years of probation for a prostitution case.
Wallace Waliczek was sentenced on Tuesday following the investigation and arrest of his wife Melissa. Police arrested Melissa Waliczek after an undercover officer responded to ads the sheriff’s office says she’d posted online seeking money in return for sexual acts.
Investigators say the former deputy was present during the sting. His wife was arraigned on one count of prostitution. Wallace Waliczek pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution.
